Trusting God’s Plan in Uncertain Times

Trust In God’s Plan

Psalm 37:23-24 “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”

It can be difficult to trust in God’s plan, particularly when life takes unexpected turns. We are reassured that the Lord actively directs our ways by Psalm 37:23–24.

He makes our steps steady when we attempt to follow His ways and pleasure in Him.

This does not guarantee that we won’t encounter obstacles or trip over obstacles along the path, but it does guarantee that even in those situations, we won’t fall all the way since God is supporting us.

Giving up our doubts and anxieties to God and believing that He understands what’s best for us are necessary for trusting in His plan.

The idea of believing in God’s plan appears frequently in the Bible. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This is an exhortation to completely surrender to God’s counsel and to give up our own desires and reasoning. He promises to guide our steps when we follow this.

The benevolent intentions of God are also emphasised in Jeremiah 29:11, which says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Even when we are unable to see the big picture, these scriptures remind us to have faith that God’s plan is always for our ultimate good.
